HARRY AND MEGHAN STYLES: CREATE YOUR OWN ROYAL WEDDING INSPIRED TABLE SETTING

On May 19th, 2018, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle married at the beautiful St George’s Chapel to become the Duke and Duchess of Sussex. Their flower arrangements were made up of branches of beech, birch and hornbeam, and white garden roses, peonies and foxgloves from the gardens and parkland of the Crown Estate and Windsor Park.

Amongst the excitement, we collaborated with the talented wedding stylist, Sundari Ferris, to create a selection of Royal Wedding inspired table settings.

Jampacked full of quintessentially British fine bone china, elegant floral arrangements and understated table decoration ideas, we have everything you need to hold your own Royal occasion in the style of a British Royal Wedding.

5 Top tips from Sundari Ferris

  • “Your tableware makes a huge impact on the feel of your table. From the glassware through to the cutlery, if you’re able to go for beautiful items in your crockery then do it. It heightens the elegance as well as creates an immediate atmosphere, from a traditional cutlery set up to something more informal and modern.
  • Sometimes it’s easy to over fill your table with tiny details such as menus, name places and favours – try and make sure everything has room to breathe. A good tip trying a table setting at home on your own dining table is to make sure things aren’t over lapping too much.
  • For a romantic atmosphere with your table, use organic cotton linen and don’t be tempted to box in the edges, let them sit gently on the floor to create a soft puddled effect whether your table is round or long. It’s all about soft lines and using delicate textures.
  • Long tapered candles on the table give the eye something to move across, mixed with low floral arrangements adds elegance.
  • Going for seasonal British flowers ensures you’ll have the most beautiful blooms for your table, this also means that they’ll have gorgeous scent as sometimes imported flowers lose their smell which is incredible for your guests.”
