Be bold and embrace the beauty and versatility of a blank canvas. A contemporary classic, Ashlar transforms daily dining into a design delight.
With shapes inspired by the archive and reminiscent of 18th century neo-classical motifs, Ashlar is a timeless collection designed for pure refinement. Uniquely architectural in its aesthetic, this elegant pattern references structure and form for a striking and sophisticated look.
Crafted from flawless fine bone china, this graceful collection demonstrates that white isn’t plain but perfectly precise, employing an innovative combination of refinement and form.
Incorporating round, square and octagonal plates, Ashlar honours signature Wedgwood shapes and skillfully combines them for contemporary appeal.
Designed for effortless combining and layering, Ashlar lends itself to every dining occasion and every interior. Beautiful alone, or fresh and impactful mixed with other coloured or patterned Wedgwood patterns, Ashlar makes an excellent addition to an existing dinner service, or a perfect dining solution in its own right.
When creating Ashlar, the Wedgwood designers gave consideration to contemporary lifestyle requirements. The resultant subtle details make Ashlar distinctly relevant: a slight coupe to the plates makes it perfect for any cuisine, pieces are designed to stack neatly in storage, and saucers fit cups, mugs and jugs.
Style Tips to Set the Perfect Table
Our Wedgwood visual stylist, Gilly, has created some breath-taking Ashlar table displays. She has the following advice to help you to create the perfect Ashlar table for your home.
Ashlar white fine-bone china is at home in any setting. It complements a traditional interior as easily as it integrates into a minimalist flat. When surrounded by colour and pattern, it refreshes the eye. When used in simple settings, it adds a satin finish and an architectural form.
Playful and adaptable. Inspired by 18th century architectural details, the different shapes of plates can be layered singly or mixed to create your own unique look and feel. Experiment with all round layers, or mix square, octagonal and round for more complex and geometric results.
By bringing in colour. I’ve used Wedgwood Blue table mats and napkins as a nod to our signature Jasperware, but the beauty and quality of the white fine-bone china will shine against any contrasting background shade, or pattern. Think about adding flowers to give height to your table, and pick out the colour you have chosen as your theme.
Have fun and be inspired by many ways in which the round, square and octagonal shapes combine to create elegant settings.
