Depicting Bacchus and his followers engaging in their fabled revels, The Borghese Vase is a true celebration of the modeller’s and ornamentor’s art. It is an inspired reinterpretation of an Ancient Greek marble krater named for the Borghese family that acquired the original in 1566. Its classic silhouette and hand-applied decorations bring ancient inspiration to fresh contemporary life.
How it's made
The Borghese piece is handcrafted at our home in Barlaston, England, located in the heart of the famous Potteries region. A true work of art, each limited-edition vase is expertly realised in Jasper by seven highly skilled craftspeople over 30 painstaking hours. The shaped base exhibits a classic form that plays host to intricate bas-reliefs shaped and placed by hand.
