Collection: Darwin Voyage Of The Beagle
When Josiah Wedgwood’s grandson Charles Darwin wanted to set sail on HMS Beagle, his father, Robert, was unsure. It was Josiah Wedgwood II, Charles’s uncle, who wrote to Robert to encourage the voyage, an odyssey that would revolutionise our understanding of the natural world.
Working closely with the Cambridge University Library, home to Darwin’s archive, our design team took original drawings from the voyage and transformed them into an expertly crafted teaware collection, featuring designs steeped in a rich sense of history and discovery.
