Nantucket Island is famous for its woven fishing baskets, and Wedgwood took this as its inspiration for this white embossed fine bone china pattern. The basket motif is echoed throughout this range even by the rounded shapes of the vegetable dishes. The finishing touch to the lidded items is the use of a shell as the finial.
