Restrained and stylish, Edme is fashioned from Queen's Ware, a fine, cream-coloured earthenware developed by Josiah Wedgwood I in the mid-18th century.
The pattern, too, is historic, commissioned in 1906 by French architects and designers Dannier Fr?res and created by Wedgwood art director, John Goodwin. The source of this commission is reflected in the architectural ribbing.
Edme wears its pedigree lightly, looking as crisply contemporary today as in the Art Deco years. At Wedgwood, time never stands still and the Edme range has, of course, evolved. Now, in addition to traditional pieces, you will find a breakfast cup, elegant mug and supremely versatile souffl?, pasta, salad and lasagne dishes. From coffee with friends to a sophisticated supper, Edme makes the occasion special.
