Coalport has long been famous for highly detailed, hand-painted figurines. The picture is changing. Traditional figurines still reign supreme, but a beautiful new tradition has been established over recent years of pure white, highly glazed fine bone china and porcelain figures.
Although some of these collections have deceptively simple shapes, it is important to realise that with such strong lines and lack of distracting colour, flaws have no place to hide. Quality and artistry are everything.
